STILL MARCHING TOWARD PERFECTION Richmond Middle School football coach Brandon Rittmiller and his young Spartans have crossed the halfway mark on their march toward a perfect season. The middle schoolers improved to 4-0 Tuesday by edging visiting Holden 14-8. Their remaining games are Oct. 8 at Knob Noster and Oct. 15 at Cameron. ‘TURNING POINT’ Entering Thursday’s road meeting with Wellington-Napoleon, Orrick was seeking to do something it hadn’t done since 2017: win four straight varsity volleyball matches. Coach Mackenzie Ketterman and her Bearcats were 5-12 overall entering the I-70 Conference meeting.
