TIEBREAKER Richmond’s LylaBest,KarolineDooley and Kylie Holland found themselves in a deadlock with Warrensburg’s Lillie Mannering at the end of a Sept. 12 Richmond-Warrensburg-Odessa varsity girls golf triangular at Sandstone Golf Club. The four girls each shot a 47 for the ninehole round to tie for medalist, Richmond coach Courtney Sisson stated Sept. 13 via email. Officially, however, Best was the winner, based on a “scorecard playoff” using the scores of each golfer on the eighth hole, deemed the most difficult in terms of handicap, Sisson explained. “It was a good day to be a Spartan,” Sisson wrote. Best, Dooley and Holland helped Richmond sweep the triangular. The Spartans shot a combined 197, with Taylor Hoeppner’s 56 completing the team score. Isabella Smith, Richmond’s No. 5 golfer, shot a 60. Led by Mannering, Warrensburg shot a 211.
