Orrick splits varsity tilts with Saints
CONCORDIA – Orrick’s winning streak continued in varsity boys basketball Tuesday. And its losing streak continued in girls basketball Tuesday.
Led by 17 points from Ethan Wilson, the Orrick boys held off St. Paul Lutheran for a 58-51 road win. With the I-70 Conference victory, the Bearcats extended their winning streak to three games. They are 9-4 overall have won six of their last seven entering a non-conference meeting Friday night with Ray County rival Hardin-Central at Hardin-Central.
Wilson was among four Bearcats in double figures. Jaxon Miller and Zander Stevinson each contributed 11 points. Dylan Comstock added 10.
Justin Griffith paced St. Paul Lutheran with 21 points, followed by Milenko Stukelja with 12.
The Orrick girls fell 54-6. They are 0-10 entering Friday’s road meeting with Hardin-Central, Missouri State High School Activities Association states.
