Logsdons take aim, display archery skills

Archery is a sibling activity in the Logsdon clan. Blake Logsdon, who graduated this spring from Richmond High School, participates in the sport. So does younger brother Trent and younger sister Paige, with all three pursuing it through the Guys and Gals 4-H Club in Richmond. And on July 16, the three displayed their skills during the shooting sports competition at the Ray County Fair in Richmond. Trent Logsdon, who’ll be a junior this fall at Richmond, finished highest, placing second in the senior-compound-with-release division, scoring a 252. Silas O’Dell of the Millville 4-H Club was the division champion with a 284. “(That was), I think, the best I’ve ever shot,” Trent Logsdon said. Some recent practicing was key to the performance, Trent Logsdon said. Blake Logsdon placed fourth in senior compound and release with a 245. “I thought I did all right. … It’s definitely better than I did last year,” he said.
