Incoming freshmen continue adapting to RHS practice regimen
Ryan Sharp and Savion Webb are among Richmond’s incoming freshmen who are getting used to the rigors of high school football practices this month.
Sharp and Webb are doing so by attending Richmond’s team camp sessions. The Spartans held their first week of sessions July 7-10. They kicked off their second week Monday on the practice field on the high school campus.
Sharp, who played middle school 11man football as a seventh-grader and sat out his eighth-grade season, said getting used to the nature of high school practices wasn’t too difficult.
“They set us on a good path and it was pretty easy to get used to,” he said.
Webb, the younger brother of recent Richmond graduate Chris Webb, adapted by “just watching the older guys go and listening to my coaches, and just working on the drills that I need to work on,” he said.
