Hughes signs with Graceland, continues family gridiron tradition

HARDIN – An athletic tradition is continuing in the Hughes clan. On July 16, Kysor Hughes ceremonially signed his letter of intent to play 11-man football at Graceland University, an NAIA program based in Lamoni, Iowa. Hughes, who graduated this year from Hardin-Central and played high school football for the Norborne Hardin-Central 8-man coop, will be the second member of his immediate family to suit up for the Yellowjackets. Older brother Hunter, a teammate of Kysor’s with NHC, was listed on the 2019 roster as a defensive lineman. “He’s going to be coming back next year – (that) is what he says – and it’ll be fun to play with him again,” Kysor said before signing.
