When he tallied the scores of Richmond’s boys varsity golf dual with Odessa Monday at Shirkey Golf Course, Richmond coach Murray Dennis saw a result he might not have seen before: three individuals tied for first. “It’s pretty rare, too,” Dennis said. “Sometimes, you’ll get two guys that tie, but it’s been a long time, if … (ever), since I’ve been here that three guys … (have shot) and been (the) medalist. What’d be even rarer (would be) if you had a quad and you had four guys – one from each team – all shoot the same score.” Jack Gogue and Thomas Murphy were part of that tie.
