Richmond has not produced a state boys tennis champion, according to Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) records. That might change this weekend. Felix De Hesselle, a German exchange student who finished his year of study abroad Thursday at Richmond High School, is representing the Spartans at the Class 1 state singles tournament, slated for Friday and Saturday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
