On Oct. 5 at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Lawson, Karoline Dooley got her first taste of playing in a district girls golf tournament. The Richmond first-year high schooler plans to use that taste to whet her appetite for playing in future tournaments, particularly postseason tournaments. Dooley led the Richmond girls at the Class 2 District 4 Tournament, shooting a 108 (+36) for the 18-hole, par-72 round. In tying Lawson’s Makynzee Hubbard for 28th, she narrowly missed the cut for the Class 2 state tournament. The top two teams and 13 individual finishers not on those teams advanced – 22 total golfers.
