Behler, Spartans start season as road dogs
Richmond is spending roughly the first two months of its regular-season varsity boys basketball schedule on the road.
The boys opened 2025-26 Nov. 24 with a 90-50 road loss to Oak Grove. After two scheduled home games this week – their Missouri River Valley Conference-East Division opener with Carrollton Tuesday and then a meeting Friday with Winnetonka – they’ve got road games scheduled through mid-January. That string includes the Husker Classic next week at Higginsville, hosted by Lafayette County; a Dec. 22 holiday shootout game, hosted by North Central Missouri College; and a January tournament, hosted by Lawson.
