Aggies praised for ‘physicality’ at camp
Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man football coach Andrew Watson and his Aggies recently got to train where the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs sometimes train.
On June 7-8, the Aggies participated in a multiteam camp at Missouri Western State University. For more than a decade, the Chiefs have held their preseason training camps at the St. Joseph-based school. Kansas City is set to begin its latest preseason camp there July 23, team information states.
Overall, NHC performed well, Watson stated Monday via email.
“You can tell many of these guys are entering their fourth year in our program and they are beginning to make great strides on the field,” he stated. “Their effort and attitudes were great, and they came out and competed. Even our younger guys got lots of reps against the other jv’s (junior varsity squads).”
