Getting a tattoo can be a creative way to express yourself and can help to remind us of meaningful moments in our lives. To the older generation, tattoos are considered to be taboo because they were often associated with gangs and prisoners in recent history. In Ancient Greece, only the lower class adorned the body with colorful markings. Today, there are still many employers who feel that visible tattoos are unprofessional and should not be allowed in the workplace. I think if someone wants one, can afford it and leaves a decent tip, then why not get a tattoo? Currently, I have three and I plan to get more in the future. I received my first tattoo at 21 in Marshall and I heard it all from family and friends who told me what could happen to the tattoo or my body.
