Dear Editor, I am assisting a young lady who has been a domestic violence victim over and over again and the system continues to fail. I want to share a letter from her sister, which was sent to Judge Lori Baskins. I’m hoping that you can please spread her story and give her some hopes of getting some kind of help or awareness created. I hope this letter reaches you and is received with the urgency and sincerity with which it is written. I am writing on behalf of my sister, who has been a repeated victim of domestic abuse at the hands of multiple partners. I have watched her endure physical violence, emotional manipulation and psychological trauma for years. I am pleading for her need for protection to be reconsidered.
