Aaron Hicks, President of Henrietta Special Road District. Gill Road. is not in the Ray-Lafayette Levee District. It is in the Crooked River Drainage District. Gill Road is, however, in Henrietta Special’s Road District as is Ray-Lafayette Drainage District. There are alternative routes out of both drainage districts during floods. One of those being the old overpass in Henrietta which was reopened in the flood of 2015 and 2019. The old Hwy 13 overpass is partially in Henrietta Special Road District. It has since been permanently closed. In previous years solutions have been offered to open 1st and Main next to the old overpass which have been opposed by a few landowners/farmers in the surrounding area. First and Main in Henrietta was not inundated during the flood of 1993 as was Gill Road. It would serve as a main access point for entry and re-entry into the Ray-Lafayette and Crooked River Drainage Districts during a flood. It would connect the new Hwy 13. with the old Hwy 13. C.C…
