Vicky Simpson
Vicky Lynn Simpson, 63, of Richmond passed away Friday, July 12, at North Kansas City Hospital. Vicky was born Sept. 20, 1960, in Calhoun City, Miss., the daughter of Wallace and Frances (Lancaster) Goodson. She was united in marriage to Brian E. Simpson of Richmond on June 12, 1988. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons, Tony (Amanda) Goodson of Munford, Tenn.; Timothy Hudspeth of Senatobia, Miss.; and Michael (Scarlet) Hudspeth of Sarah, Miss.
She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Amber, Trinity and Sean Goodson; Cooper and Tyler Bynum; and Christopher, Johnathan, Nikki, Michael, Aiden, Averee, Amaya and Arabella Hudspeth. A sister, Debbie (Bubba) Starnes of Drummonds, Tenn., also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Alana Hudspeth; and two sisters, Connie Boozer and Lisa Bollinger.
Vicky was reared and educated in the area of her birth, and graduated high school from Calhoun City. She met the love of her life while working in Sardis, Miss., and it was truly love at first sight.
Vicky dedicated her career to caring for others, working as a certified nursing assistant at Liberty Terrace Nursing Home and later at Ideal Industries in Richmond.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, cherishing every moment she had with them. Vicky had a passion for playing bingo and loved the thrill of lottery scratch tickets, often sharing her hobbies with friends and family. Her warm smile and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation and funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, July 18, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by the services at 11. Interment was to be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
