Vicenta Antoranz Norris, 89, of Richmond, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Vicenta was born on October 3, 1933, in Fuentepelayo, Spain, the daughter of Andres and Maria (Herrero) Antoranz. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Eugene Norris of Ray County on June 10, 1964; he Vicenta Norris

preceded her in death on July 15, 2019.

Survivors include: two sons, Charles Dee Norris of Richmond and Jamie Christopher Norris of Lutz, FL; two daughters, Jacqueline Francisca Howard, and Maria Antonia Betty Allnutt, both of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren: Annamarie Allnutt, Siena Allnutt, Aaron Allnutt, Courtney Allnutt, Jourdan Howard, Angelica Norris, and Hannah Norris; brother, Eugenio Antoranz; and three sisters: Mercedes Antoranz, Francisca Herrero, and Antonia Herrero.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Andres Antoranz and Donato Antoranz, and sister, Juanita Herrero.

Vicenta met her husband, Jimmy, while he was deployed to Europe. They were married in Madrid, Spain, and she returned with her husband to start and raise her family in the United States. She would go on to raise four lovely, American children. Vicenta was a kind, gentle heart, with a strong spirit. She was a devoted wife and mother. Vicenta was a loving and kind person to everyone she met. She enjoyed flowers. Vicenta was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Richmond.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation, Funeral Mass and Interment will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, with visitation from 12:00 P.M. to 12:45 P.M. with Mass to follow at 12:45 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, Interment will follow services at 2:00 P.M. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.
