Thelma Marie Jacobs
Thelma Marie Jacobs, 100, of Richmond died on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Thelma was born on October 1, 1921 in Richmond, the daughter of Virgil and Beulah (Seek) Railey. She married Donald Jacobs of Richmond on April 8, 1971, he preceded her in death on October 10, 1994.
Survivors include son, Terry Wayne Dickey and his wife Margo of Richmond; 3 grandchildren: Landon (Kristen) Dickey, Lindsay Dickey and Jake Dickey; two great-grandchildren: Caidric Ryan Dickey and Caysin Lee Dickey; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers: Gene Railey, Donald Railey and Loren Railey.
Thelma started at an early age cleaning houses and working at the dress factory in Lexington, Richmond and Excelsior Springs. She later started her career at Lake City Arsenal where she spent the next 35 years working until she retired in 1988. Thelma was also a Avon Sales Representative and a bus driver for the Richmond School District. She enjoyed reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren - spoiling them. She also enjoyed going on rides with her family. Thelma was of the Christian faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodland Cemetery Richmond.
