SHARON STRICKLER (CRUTSINGER)
Sharon Strickler (Crutsinger), 83, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Lafayette Regional Health Center.
Sharon was born June 3, 1939, in Wellington to Joe and Florene Crutsinger (Villers). She graduated in 1957 from Wellington High School.
She was married to Russell (Dale) Strickler for 60 years. She worked for Southwestern Bell and was coowner

of Dale’s Grocery and Gas for 23 years.
After retirement, she worked for World Book and the Lafayette County Red Cross.
Sharon was a member of the United Methodist Church and spent her free time at Shirkey Golf Club. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and additional family members.
Survivors include her two sons, Anthony Joseph Strickler (Stephanie Strickler) and Darren Keith Strickler (Josie Strickler). She also is survived by her eight grandchildren, Erika McCarthy (Ryan McCarthy), Sarah Scharfe (Benjamin Scharf), Nick, Michael, Halie, Andrea, Alexandra and Matthew; and eight great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell (Dale) Strickler; grandson, Eric Strickler; and granddaughter, Elissa Quijas.
Visitation and funeral services were held Wednesday, April 26, at Wellington Methodist Church. Visitation was from noon to 1 p.m. The funeral session was held from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by the burial service at Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington.
