Roy Pratt

Roy Eugene Pratt, 64, of Lexington passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, at Lafayette Regional Medical Center in Lexington, surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born Sept. 21, 1960, in Kansas City, the son of Earl Le Roy and Lucille Josephine (Minor) Pratt. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Driscoll of Gering, Neb.; and grandson, Jason Driscoll. Other survivors include three brothers, Joe Pratt of Liberty, Earl Lee (Carla) Pratt of Richmond and Brett (Tara) Pratt of Richmond; and five sisters, Tina Henry of Richmond, Lois Sharp of Richmond, Brenda (Salvador) Silva of North Carolina, Shelly Alexander of Norborne and Christina (Perry) Fields of Richmond. An uncle, Mike (Sandy) Minor of Lawson; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Pratt; sister, Carol Pratt; and brother-in-law, Donnie Sharp.

Roy was raised and educated in Ray County, where he developed a strong work ethic and a wide range of skills. Throughout his lifetime, he held many titles and worked at various jobs, proving himself to be a true jack-of-all-trades. Whether it was laboring, factory work or setting up agricultural sprinkler systems, there was nothing Roy couldn’t handle.

He had a passion for adventure and travel, visiting 39 of the 50 states.

Roy also loved the simple pleasures, spending countless hours fishing and riding his Harley. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends, always valuing life’s moments with the people he cared about most.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation with funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the services at 11. Interment will be in Cowgill Cemetery.
