Roger Kepple, age 85, of Fayetteville, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 7, 2022, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, in Fayetteville.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1936, to Clifford and Mollie (Rogers) Kepple, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Westport High School, in Kansas City, MO and continued his education at York Christian College in York, NE, majoring in Business Administration. Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served as an Air Traffic Controller in Morocco, Africa. As a private pilot, he enjoyed sharing his passion for all things aviation. 

After serving in the military, he was a preacher for the Churches of Christ for over 20 years, pastoring congregations in Missouri, Kansas, and Washington. Roger worked for 25 years as General Manager and Owner of the Meyer Jewelers stores in the Kansas City area. He retired to Richmond, MO and became a pillar of the community. He purchased the historic Pointer’s Jewelers, served on the Richmond City Council, and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; later serving as President. He was also on the Board of Directors for Richmond Housing Authority, Ray County 911, and The State Bank. 

He married Jacquelyn Baker on Mar. 7, 2007, in Fayetteville. Roger was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church and during Covid started a Zoom Bible study class. He and Jacquelyn enjoyed sharing the word of God through their mission work in South Africa. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mollie Kepple; and two sisters, Phyllis Hackler and Gwen Davis.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Baker-Kepple; his two sons, Randy Kepple and wife Tammy of Vancouver, WA, and Richard Kepple and wife Misty of Lincoln, AR; grandchildren, Kara, Megan, Kaylee, Samantha, Nathan, Staci, Roland, Ashley, Chris, and Tyler; and six-and-a-half great-grandchildren. 

Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Pastor Eric Howerton will officiate.
