Robert Mason Hill
Robert Mason Hill, 73, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah.
Robert was born on July 16, 1947, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Wilson D. and Betty Jean (Rodgers) Hill.
Survivors include: three daughters, Andrea (John) Francis of Lee’s Summit, Caroline (Dan) Reneau of Lee’s Summit and Victoria (Javan) Johnson of Excelsior Springs; and his grandchildren, Lydia Francis, Madeline Francis, Tallulah Francis, Phinehas Reneau, Ezra Reneau, Ruby Reneau, Emersyn Johnson and Javan Johnson, and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert graduated in 1965 from Richmond High School. He then received his B.A. in 1969 from the University of Missouri. Bob would then graduate with his J.D. degree in 1971 from the University of Missouri Law School. After taking the Missouri Law School Bar Examination and receiving the prestigious honor of Order of the Coif for being one of the highestranking members of his class, he moved back home to Richmond to join his father’s law practice, Hill & Hill, Attorneys-At-Law.
Bob was involved in several organizations. He served as Kiwanis Club president and was a member of the Ray County Bar Association. He also served as attorney for the city of Richmond, and as deacon and ruling elder of the Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He loved theater and participated in several productions at the Farris Theater in Richmond.

Visitation with memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. and services to follow at 11. Inurnment will be held in Richmond Memory Gardens. Masks are required to attend all services.
