Robert Dean “Bob” Tabberer, 76, of Richmond, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Bob was born on June 18, 1945, in Jackson County, KS, the son of George and Fannie (Cronk) Tabberer.  He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Taylor of Excelsior Springs, on March 4, 2012; she survives of the home.

Survivors include son, Robert Jeffrey Tabberer; five stepchildren, Diana (Lance) Shipp, David (Rebecca) Slankard, Ronnie (Michelle) Slankard, Mary Ann (Rick) Stiver, and Lisa Slankard; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister, Renae Arnold; niece, Nicole Smith; great-niece, Taylor Smith; and two great-nephews, Kevin Smith, Jr. and Aiden Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Tabberer; and half-brother, Arlie Cooper.

Bob worked for the railroad and in maintenance during his life.  His number one hobby was KU Basketball.  Bob also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
