Robert “Bob” Leroy Miller Sr., 90, of Polo passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 10, 2024, at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer.
Robert was born April 1, 1934, the son of Daniel Dye and Lottie (Simpson) Miller in Kansas City, Kan.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed in California. Bob Miller Sr.
He married Laura Morgan in December of 1956. He was then united in marriage to Betty Jordan in December of 1970 until her passing in 1994.
Bob was of the RLDS faith. He was active in the Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion in Excelsior Springs for more than 50 years.
Bob enjoyed golf cart rides, the Kansas City Chiefs, fishing and spending time outdoors. Robert will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lottie Miller; and two brothers, Charles Daniel Miller and Cooley Miller.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Leroy Miller Jr. and Wayne Miller, both of Polo; and three grandchildren, Derek Miller (Amber) of Trenton, Chelsi Miller of Trenton and Kyle Spencer (Karen) of Dawn. Five greatgrandchildren and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance in care of the funeral home. A private burial is planned for Crowley Cemetery, Rayville.
