Ricky Alan Baker, 63, of Richmond, died Tuesday, August 24th, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospice House

Rick was born on September 6, 1957, in Richmond, Missouri the son of Kenneth Leroy and Mary Louise (Arnold) Baker.

Additional survivors include: his companion, Jennifer Watson of Richmond; two sons, Brandon Baker of Middleburg, FL and Justin (Corissa) Baker of Spring Hill, KS, daughter, Amanda Montgomery of Richmond; mother, Mary Lou (Kenneth) Leslie; brothers, Timothy P. Baker of Lexington and Darren (Marietta) Baker of Richmond; sister, Lisa Baker of Lexington; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Ricky was reared and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School.  He worked as a self-employed carpenter with his father.  Ricky enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking.  He was of the Christian faith.  He loved his companion Jennifer with all his heart.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Ricky Alan Baker Memorial Fund.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
