Michael Fales

Michael Thomas Fales, 65, of Kansas City passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Michael was born Jan. 25, 1959, in Richmond, the son of Carl and Patricia (Reberry) Fales. He was united in marriage to Lori Cadue of Kansas City on Nov. 14, 1987. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Jeremy (Kim) Fales and Cory Fales, both of Kansas City; daughter, Brandie (Jeffrey) Johnson of Olathe, Kan.; six grandchildren, Cort, Brooke, Josh, Jeremy Jr., Brett and Zoey; four brothers, Jamie (Stacy) Fales of Smithville, Jeff Fales of Kansas City, Patrick Fales of Blue Springs and Alan (Bonnie) Fales of Michigan; and sister, Carla (Mark) Gomez of Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Richmond High School. After high school, he attended Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City. He later studied avionics in Tulsa, Okla.

Michael enjoyed working on cars, cooking and being at the beach. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Michael Fales Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. and services to follow at 3. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Richmond.
