Melvin Ray Boeschen
Melvin Ray Boeschen, 67, of Polo, died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO.
Melvin was born on October 11, 1953, in Kansas City, MO the son of Marcellus and Peachie Jewell (Renner) Boeschen. He was united in marriage to Diane Hall of Excelsior Springs on June 6, 1975; they later divorced but have remained best friends.
Survivors include son, Brandon (Kimberly) Boeschen of Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Bethany Boeschen of Overland Park, KS; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Shelby, Lydia, Gabe, Mack, Oliver, and Eleanor Boeschen; two sisters, Michelle (Jeff) Townson of Liberty and Fawna (Dean) Cameron of Plano, TX; two nephews, Troy and Jack and two nieces, Olivia and Addie and his best friend, Curtis Cain.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mark and sister, Melissa Ebert.
Melvin was reared and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School in 1972. He worked as an ASE Certified mechanic. He had worked at the CO-OP, Swafford Ford both in Richmond, Matt Ford in Buckner, and Chuck Anderson Ford in Excelsior Springs. He was a Boy Scout leader and honorary warrior of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He enjoyed all things cars from putting model cars together to working on the real thing. He was a Ford man through and through. He liked body building and traveling, he liked the western wear look. Melvin was a people person who loved to meet new people and make new friends, he never met a stranger.

Visitation with funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at East Slope Memorial Gardens in Riverside, MO.
