Mary Lee

Private inurnment of Mary Edna Lee, 83, will be held at the Sunny Slope Cemetery in Richmond. Mary died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyo. She was born Tuesday, June 4, 1940, in Winston, the daughter of Oscar Melvin and Clara Margaret (Patton) Lee. She was reared and educated in Richmond, graduating from Richmond High School. Following graduation, she continued to reside in Richmond to care for her parents.

In 2000, she moved to Douglas to be near her brother, Melvin Lee. She first resided in Payne Plaza prior to moving to the Douglas Care Center, where she resided until her death.

She enjoyed doing embroidery work and gave her many works to family and friends.

Mary is survived by her brother, Melvin (Joyce) Lee of Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar, on Oct. 7, 1986; mother, Clara, on Nov. 19, 1996; and sister, Martha Ann Rone, on Dec. 31, 1995.

Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
