Linda Sue (Brock) Schick, 75, of Lexington passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington (phone: 660-259-2245). A private family inurnment will be held at Wellington City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Excelsior Springs.
Linda was born June 18, 1948, in Lexington to John Thomas and Leona Belle (Short) Brock. She lived most of her life in Lexington.
Linda graduated in 1966 from Lexington High School.
She worked for Dairy Creme in Lexington and Whittaker Cable. Linda went on to work for General Motors while raising her daughter. Later, she studied and obtained a license in cosmetology and enjoyed providing home salon services. She also worked as a security guard and a bartender.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona Brock of Lexington; sisters, Jean Anne Brock, Gloria Edith Penniston and Nelcena Mae Keller of Lexington; and brothers, Arthur Eugene Brock of Lexington and Darrell Wayne Brock of Monterey, Calif.
Survivors include her sisters, Marcia Ann Stacy of Independence and Betty Lou Gallegos of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two brothers, John Leon Brock and Thomas Lee Brock, both of Lexington.
Linda also is survived by her only daughter, Michelle Elaine (Brock) Roncelli of Richmond.
Linda was outgoing, friendly, down to earth and a bit feisty in her early years. Much later in life, she decided to seriously study God’s word, the Bible, and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 27, 2019. It was her faith and hope in the Bible’s promises for the future that helped her endure to the end.
