Laticia May Hedrick, 82, of rural Camden, MO, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. Laticia was born on Oct. 25, 1939, to William R. Smith and Lydia (Bellis) Smith. She had lived most of her life in the Camden and Orrick areas. Laticia was a graduate of Orrick High School. Following high school, she attended a business college. Laticia was united in marriage to Norman Keith Hedrick. She was a very involved in her community and an active member of the Orrick Christian Church.

Laticia was a very caring person and always found the time to take care of others including her family, her friends, and people in the community. She enjoyed cooking, especially cooking for the holidays and for family get togethers. She enjoyed her hobbies which included participating in Red Hatters and playing card games such as Pitch and Bridge, collecting antiques with her sister, and reading books. She valued and cherished time spent with her two sons. She loved attending their sporting events when they were younger and loved her time when they came to help her at the farm. She also loved and adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Laticia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lydia Smith, and her husband, Norman Keith Hedrick.

She is survived by her two sons, William Keith Hedrick of Blue Springs, MO, and Michael James Hedrick (Kim) of Kansas City, MO; sister, Alicia Harrison of Orrick, MO; her loving grandchildren, Jennifer Hedrick, Christine Wilkins (Cameron), Charli Fainter (Eric), and Stephanie Kline (John); six great-grandchildren, Thomas, Brynlee, Quinn, Mckenna, Aiden and Amelia; niece, Patty Raimondi (Roberto), and her three sons, Marco, Carlos and Jonas; and nephew, Charles Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory are suggested to South Point Cemetery Association.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Art Endsley officiating. Burial will follow in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.
