JoAnn Lynette (McCabe) Gabrick, 79, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Life Care Center of Carrollton. JoAnn was born on March 8, 1943, in Gore, OK, the daughter of Theodore Glenn and Vivian (Forbes) McCabe.  She was united in marriage to Michael Lee Gabrick of Leavenworth, KS, on December 28, 1966; he preceded her in death on January 23, 2019. Survivors include: two sons, Michael (Donna) Gabrick of Topeka, KS, and Robbie Gabrick (Cindy Wheeler) of Dennison, KS; daughter, Leeanna Kay Jones (Chris Stull) of Rayville; 7 grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Theodore (Linda) McCabe of Huntsville, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister in infancy. JoAnn grew up in Cameron, MO, Pleasant Valley, MO, and Leavenworth, KS.  She worked at the Glove Factory in Leavenworth, KS, around 1968.  JoAnn also worked as a housekeeper for St. John’s Hospital in Leavenworth, KS, St. Frances Hospital in Topeka, KS, and Los Robles Memorial Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA.  She married Michael lee Gabrick at New Hope Church in Topeka, KS, on December 28, 1966.  They settled down in Holton, KS, and had three children.  JoAnn was a homemaker most of her life.  She worked as secretary for Michael’s business in Leavenworth, KS, as well.  They lived in Huntsville, AR, for around five years, then moved back to Leavenworth in 2010 to be closer to family.  JoAnn will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
