1963-2023

Jeffrey Wade Hammond, 60, of Arizona City, Ariz., died on Dec. 22, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.

Jeff was born in 1963 in Kansas City to Ronald and Billey Hammond. He attended Kearney High School and graduated from in 1980 St. Louis High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, after joining the U.S. Marine Jeffrey Hammond

Corps.

After serving in the Marine Corps, Jeff drove for Freymiller before working for Jackson’s Hardware for 10 years. In 2007, Jeff moved to Arizona City and worked for the Hexcel Corp. for 15 years. Jeff received many awards and appreciation certificates everywhere he worked. Everything Jeff did, he did well.

Jeff enjoyed grilling and music, and he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Hammond; and his niece, Heather Huffman.

Survivors include his mother, Billey Hammond; brother, Randal Hammond (Cris); sister, Candi Huffman (Gene); sister, Michelle Landis (Tim); and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

His last wish was to donate his body to research. The family will plan a celebration of Jeff’s life in Orrick, when Research for Life will present his cremains to the family.

The family appreciates the support of The Mayo Clinic and Compassus (hospice) in Casa Grande, Ariz.
