Glenda Sue Estes Prewitt went to be with the Lord and join her beloved husband, Harold Dean Prewitt on December 17, 2021. 

Glenda was born on January 12, 1941, to Jacob Glen Estes and Maggie Louise West Estes in Ray County, Missouri, near Millville, where she graduated eighth grade from a one room school.  She graduated from Richmond High School, Richmond, Missouri, with the class of 1959, and attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, from 1959 to 1961 where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.  In 1972 she received a B.S. degree in Business Education from University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg.  She retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 2001 after 29 years. 

She was a member of the Barbee Memorial Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs, a member of the Osage Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists, CJ Chapter of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Ray and Clay County Genealogy Societies.  She enjoyed genealogy, travel, book club, bridge club, piano, volunteering, family and friends. 

Glenda was married to Harold Dean Prewitt of Braymer, Missouri, on October 18, 1963, in Liberty.  He preceded her in death on July 17, 2000, after enjoying thirty-six wonderful years of marriage.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Estes. 

She is survived by one brother, Dennis Wayne Estes and wife, Patty, of rural Richmond, on sister-in-law, Betty Dowell (Bruce) of Kansas City North as well as nieces and nephews and those of Dean’s whom she was most fond. 

Private services will be held at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. with a Celebration of life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Barbee Memorial Church or Shirkey Hospice.
