Garry Ronald Westher, 86, of Richmond, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his home.

Garry was born on Oct. 26, 1933, in Rochester, New York, the son of Russell E. and Jenny (Groenendale) Westher. Garry was united in marriage to Albert “Randy” Peckham of Richmond on July 15, 2013; he survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Garry’s work history included: working for 14 years as an Engineer for Chrysler Motor Co. in Highland Park, Michigan; 12 years as an auto tester for Consumer Reports in Orange, Connecticut; and 20 years as an abstractor in Lexington for John Wallace. Garry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He enjoyed American-made automobiles, collecting toy trains and all trains in general. He was of the Christian Science faith.
