Floyd Dale Bratton Sr.
Floyd Dale Bratton Sr., 83, of Richmond died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at his home.
Floyd was born on Sept. 10, 1937, in Knob Noster, the son of Cecil Southern and Lorena Elizabeth (Calvert) Bratton. He was united in marriage to Willene C. Walker of Hardin on Oct. 16, 1959. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: a son, Patrick S. Bratton of Richmond; three daughters, Stephanie (David) Isom of Fairfield, California, Jacqueline Bratton of Liberty and Mimi Danner of Liberty; five grandchildren, Marcus Reed, Edward Danner Jr., Amber Bratton, Mariel Danner and Jessica Long; five great-grandchildren, Micaiah Reed, Reese Johnson, Ryland Johnson, Beau Minor and Mirylah Reed; one brother, Cecil Lee Bratton of Knob Noster; and two sisters, Sally Miller of Kansas City and Joyce Hanner of O’Fallon, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Floyd Dale Bratton Jr.; three brothers, Bobby, William and Milton Bratton; and one sister, Julia Triplett.
Floyd was reared and educated in Sedalia and graduated from Lincoln-Hubbard High School. Floyd worked at Lake City Arsenal for 35 years. Over the years, he also worked for the Missouri Highway Department, the Ferguson plastics plant in Richmond and as a custodian for the Richmond School District. He belonged to the John W. Carter Masonic Lodge in Richmond and St. John CME Church in Richmond.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports, especially when it was his own family participating or local kids he knew. He was a good family man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, at St. John CME Church in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and services to follow at 11. Burial will be in Knob Noster Cemetery. Masks will be required to attend the services.
