Eleanore Bess Carder, Liberty, Mo. passed away peacefully at Liberty Hospital on September 28, 2021. Eleanore was born August 20, 1931, daughter of Burl Buford and Myra Allen Bess.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Evoy Carder II, and brother Allen Bess (Sedalia).

Eleanore is survived by her devoted children, Brad Bamman, Kathy (James) Thompson, Nancy Jones and husband Ernie, all of Richmond, Bill Bamman and wife Dianna of Liberty, and Patty Rake, also of Richmond; with the gift of a second marriage, she was blessed with 3 more loving children, Tom Carder and wife Joyce of Kearney, Kathy Hamer and husband Frank of Excelsior Springs and Cheryl Wilder and husband Morgan of Independence. She celebrated 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. 

Eleanore graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1950, at the age of 19, and later completed her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from UMKC.  She spent over 41 years teaching, primarily 1st grade in Richmond and in Liberty.  She chose a profession that she loved and would have gladly performed whether she was paid or not. 

Visitation and funeral services were conducted on Sunday, October 3rd and Monday, October 4th at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home of Liberty, MO.  Interment was conducted in Fairview Cemetery in Liberty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Anglican Church, 3920 W. 63rd St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
