Edward Goligoski
Edward “Ed” Thomas Goligoski, 71, of Polo passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Boonville. Edward was born April 20, 1953, in Stockton, Calif., the son of Edward Robert and Cleo Larene (McCain) Goligoski. Survivors include a son, Jerry (Lesley) Goligoski of Fulton; and two daughters, Mindy (Derrick) Rice of Columbia and Brett (Thomas) Mc Corkendale of Hardin. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Steven, Vince, Braxton, Cameron, Jaydon, Whitney, Jaxon and Raleigh; and a sister, Darlene Franklin of Godley, Texas.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Goligoski.
Ed attended Excelsior Springs High School. After high school, he tried a few professions before deciding to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a freight hauler.
In 1985, Ed started his career at Overnite Transportation and worked there until the Teamsters strike. In June 2000, Ed began working for ABF Freight and was with the company for 24 years. Ed was blessed to find some of his best and longest friendships through his career as an over-the-road driver.
Ed’s greatest source of joy were his children: Jerry, Mindy and Brett. No matter where he went or who he talked to, out came the pictures and stories of his children and grandchildren.
His interests were varied, but he loved to play video games, travel and spend time with his family.
Ed will be greatly missed by all those that knew him and loved him. God bless.
