Dortha Wilson The Richmond News, Feb. 14, 2024 Dortha Lee Wilson, 85, of Richmond passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at Ray County Hospital and Healthcare in Richmond. Dortha was born March 26, 1939, in Tuskahoma, Okla., the daughter of Thomas and Bertha (Bost) Hickman. She was united in marriage to Alford Louis Wilson of Alpine, Ariz., on Jan. 14, 1956. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include her sister, Edna (Roy) Laureles of Coleman, Texas; and special friend, Tracey Parkes of Richmond. Many nieces, nephews and loving cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Johnny Hickman and Donald Hickman; and four sisters, Delphia Sweeten, Thelma “Bobbie” Johnson, Bonnie Hutcherson and Ruth O’Neal. Dortha was raised and educated in Oklahoma. She met her husband while he was working at a timber sawmill in the White Mountains in Arizona. He knew at first glance that he would marry her.
