Dona Fay (Allen) Osborn, 78, of Lexington passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, surrounded by family.

A graveside celebration of life was scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Community Health Foundation at Lafayette Dona Osborn

Regional Health Center.

Dona was born Dec. 11, 1945, in Kansas City to Ernest F. and Margaret J. (Wright) Allen. She graduated from Richmond High School.

Dona worked for Lafayette Regional Health Center as a secretary to the director of nursing before retiring after 19 years of service.

Dona was united in marriage to Richard Martin in 1966. They later divorced, but remained friends.

On Sept. 24, 1993, Dona was united in marriage to James Riley Osborn in Richmond. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2020.

Dona was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dona enjoyed cooking, gardening and counted cross stitch.

Dona is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Martin) Greene and husband Jeff of Sedalia; one granddaughter, Sadie Rose Greene of Sedalia; and many relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dona was preceded in death by a son, Richard Martin Jr. in infancy; and a sister, Roxane Nordsieck.
