Deborah Sue “Deb” McKee, 68, of Richmond, died on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. Deb was born on Sept. 1, 1954, in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Browning) Clark. She was united in marriage to Shannon McKee of Richmond on July 21, 1979; he survives of the home.  

Additional survivors include son, Shane (Amanda) McKee of Greenbrier, Ark.; two daughters, Sabrina McKee and Catrina McKee, both of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Trinidy Fisk, Nakia McKee, Skyrah McKee, Tobias McKee, and Serena McKee.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Danny Clark and Darrell Clark.  

Deb was reared and educated in St. Charles. Deb loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed traveling and attending her grandkids special events. Deb also enjoyed having a margarita with her family. She was a good listener and always gave the best advice, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Deb will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.  

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Deborah Sue McKee Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.  

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., with services to follow at 2 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Please remember to share your memories of Deb with the family by visiting thurmanfuneralhome.com.
