Cynthia Cox, 55, of Richmond, died on March 26, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Cynthia was born on Aug. 29, 1965, the daughter of Melvin and Patricia (Childers) Harris. She was united in marriage to Paul Cox Sr. of Richmond on Aug. 17, 1991, in a ceremony at Rock Falls Baptist Church. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include two sons, Paul Cox Jr. of Richmond and Chester Cox of Cottonwood, Arizona; three brothers, Gene (Barb) Harris of Richmond, Clint (Susan) Harris of Orrick and Anthony Harris of Richmond; two sisters, Christie (Tom) Sweet and Lasandra Harris of Richmond. She also is survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Francis Harris; and brother, Johnathan Harris.

Cynthia was a 1983 graduate of Orrick High School. After that, she was a permanent resident of Richmond. She was retired from Ideal Industries. Among the many interests of Cynthia was playing puzzle games, reading and watching TV cooking shows. Her family could always count on her remembering everyone’s birthdays, including her many nephews and nieces.

Visitation with funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 30, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation began at 1 p.m., with funeral services in the funeral home chapel following at 2. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hickory Grove Cemetery. They can either be dropped off or mailed to in care of the family, to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main–P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.
