Charles David “Dave” Adams, 71, of Richmond passed away peacefully Sunday, October 31, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Dave was born June 16, 1950, to Rev. Emery Adams and Faunice (McClelland) Adams. He was the 3rd of five children born to the couple. His father's ministry led the family to several small northern Missouri towns before settling in Dave's hometown of Gilman City, Missouri. Dave graduated from Harrison County R-4 in 1968 where he met his future wife, Diana Lee Gibson. He attended Trenton Community College.  He married his high school sweetheart, Diana, May 23, 1970. The Couple eventually relocated to the Richmond, Missouri area where they raised their family. Dave got his start at Ferguson Manufacturing in Richmond where he remained for many years before opening A/E Plastics with a long-time friend and business associate.

Dave was a fun-loving guy who was never afraid to speak his mind or help a buddy out.  He was very out-going and made friends wherever he went.  He was also known to sing to you on occasion.  Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman.  After retiring, Dave spent the majority of his time at Pecan Grove in Warsaw, Missouri, where he was known as “Daddy Dave”, fishing and swapping tales with his many buddies whom he considered family.  He was Dad, Papa, and Friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Lee Adams, grandson, Brayden Lee Adams; parents, Rev. Emery and Faunice Adams; brother Timothy E. Adams; sister Brenda J. Adams; and his in-laws Darrel “Jack” and Dorothy Gibson.  He leaves behind his three children and their spouses: Amanda and Dustin Nolting, Jeremy and Shannon Adams, and Heather and Mark Inmon. Seven grandchildren: Canaan (Lindsay) Adams, Bristen Adams, Gavan Nolting, Leighla Nolting, Noah Inmon, Shelby Inmon, and Parker Inmon.  One great Grand-daughter, Quinley Adams, two sisters: Carolyn (Steve) Priest and Janice (Bud) Scott, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved puppy Maggie May.
