Bruce Duane Adams, 69, of Richmond passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at his home. Bruce was born Oct. 30, 1954, in Lexington, the son of James L. “Doc” and Billie D. (Lee) Adams. He was united in marriage to Susan D. Brune of Richmond on June 28, 1975. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his two daughters, Jamie (Jeremy) McGinnis of Hardin and Tina Adams of Richmond; four grandchildren, Lindsey Clemens, Kassie McGinnis, Kaden McGinnis and Dominick Adams-Welch; two great-granddaughters, Amaryllis “Amy” Neff and Zarya Clemens; and brother, Keith Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Bruce was born and raised in Richmond, graduating with the class of 1973 from Richmond High School.
Bruce worked as an assembler for Ford Motor Co. in Claycomo, where he took great pride in being a longtime member of the United Auto Workers Association, Local No. 249.
In addition to his work at Ford, he was the owner and operator of Richmond Computer Service, where his passion for technology thrived.
Bruce was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge No. 57. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and stargazing, and had a special talent for crafting beautiful stained glass. A true classic rock ’n’ roller at heart, Bruce’s love for music was a lifelong passion.
Above all else, Bruce cherished his family. His daughters and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took immense joy in every moment he spent with them.
Bruce’s legacy of love, music and craftsmanship will be forever remembered by those who knew him.

Funeral services were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation was planned for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Interment was to be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
