Boyd Linn Sharp, 51, of Hardin, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Boyd was born on Dec. 2, 1969, in Richmond, the son of Aubrey “Keith” and Fern Louise (Sodders) Sharp.

Survivors include: his father, Keith (Dena Sisco) Sharp of Richmond; children: Aubrey (Danielle) Sharp of Cole Camp, Christian Sharp of Hardin, Allison (Zach) Mitchell of North Kansas City, and Megan Sharp of Liberty; two grandchildren, Madelynn and Matyx Mitchell; brother, Brian Railey of St. Louis; and stepbrother, Thomas (Stacy) Sisco of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his mother, sister, Mona Baker, and brothers, Steve Railey and Brad Railey.

Boyd was a self-made mechanic, who loved working on old cars and trucks. He was an avid outdoors man, who enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer hunting. Boyd fought a battle with kidney failure for 9 years and the disease took a toll on his body.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Boyd Linn Sharp Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, in Richmond Memory Gardens. Boyd laid in state from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, prior to graveside services, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
