Bobby Josephine Tabor, 81, of Mountain View passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Richmond after a long, three-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Bobby Jo was born March 6, 1944, in Mountain View, the daughter of Robert and Bessie (Judd) Bay.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Tabor of Mountain View on July 8, 1960. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2020.

Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa (Kenny) Lee of Richmond and Valerie (Kevin) Mgrdichian of South Dakota; and three grandchildren, Kindy (Grant) Kessler, Miranda (Brad) Randall and Kailey Mgrdichian (Stephen Carrithers). Her four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Kaidence, Kynli and Bodhi; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Bay; and three sisters, Kate Tranbarger, Daisy Trowbridge and Violet Glenn.

Bobby Jo was raised and educated in the area of her birth.

She cherished life on the farm and took great joy in the simple things it offered. She loved quilting, fishing, hunting, tending to her flowers and spending time in her garden.

Above all, Bobby Jo loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose kindness and love touched the lives of many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial visitation was scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
