Amanda Lynn Morgan, 28, of Higginsville, died May 4, 2022, at her home.  

She was born September 14, 1993, in Lexington, during the great flood. They were living in Richmond at the time and the fire chief had to transport Stephanie on the fire truck, to get her to the hospital. 

She grew up in Higginsville and graduated from Lafayette C-1 in 2011. 

Amanda was a florist at Pigeon’s Nest Floral Design and Gifts. But her favorite job was being a dog-mom for Piper Grace and Gina. She also showed Boxers in obedience and rally, loved hunting and fishing; and showing horses, especially her trusty steed, Shooter.  

She was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Bob Blair and Kenny Morgan. 

She is survived by: Parents: Greg and Stephanie Morgan of Higginsville, Sisters: Misti Runyon of Higginsville and Mandi Morgan of Belton, Grandparents: Nancy Blair of Higginsville, Marcy Morgan of Higginsville, and Larry Stephenson (Pam) of Triplett, and Great Grandmother: Ruthmary Price of Higginsville.  

Amanda played the role of special auntie to Harper and Harlow, and was a beloved friend and relative to many people.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, from 5-8 pm at Grace United Methodist Church. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 10:30 at the church, officiated by Reverend Terry Cook and Dr. Greg Fine.  

Casket Bearers will be Colby Long, Cabot Long, Daniel Crawford, Kevin Alumbaugh, Chris Johnson, Wendell Rechterman. 

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Carson Faes, Chad Seal, Jordan Kirkland, Hayden Hitt, Justin Silkwood. 

She will be buried in the City Cemetery 

Memorials are suggested to Children’s Mercy Hospital or Friends of the Friendless.
