Orrick got back in the win column Tuesday night in varsity boys basketball. 

With an 89-60 thumping of visiting Sweet Springs, the Orrick boys snapped a seven-game losing skid. That skid included Monday's 64-51 road loss to Kingsville.

Tuesday's win put the Bearcats at 6-15 overall and 2-3 in the I-70 Conference entering Friday's conference road meeting with Wellington-Napoleon, Missouri State High School Activities Association records state.

In other Orrick basketball news, the varsity girls fell 31-21 Tuesday to Sweet Springs at Orrick. It was their 14th straight defeat. 

Like the Orrick boys, the girls are slated to play Friday at Wellington-Napoleon.
