RICHMOND – The day for weekly, curbside yard waste pickup has changed to Friday.

The service provider, Republic Services, will pick up waste Fridays from now through Oct. 31.

All Richmond residences inside the city limits will be serviced on Fridays, ending the Monday/Wednesday split.

Accepted yard waste consists of the following:

• Dry leaves, grass clippings, yard/garden vegetation;

• 10 bio-degradable bags – not plastic – of yard waste or sticks and limbs cut in bundles no larger than 2 feet in diameter and no longer than 4 feet in length; and

• No more than three 20-gallon trash containers that can be manually lifted and dumped into the truck (less than 75 pounds).

Plastic bags will not be picked up.
