Volunteers asked to join in Bible Conference

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join in the Celebrating the Sixteenth Bible Conference to help assemble thousands of Bibles. Set for June 9-11, those wishing to volunteer can do so anytime between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Richmond City Hall gym. Seventeen years ago, a group of men in Richmond were studying the Bible and praying. According to two of these men, Richard Stigall and Farrell Hockemeier – the study group became convinced God was calling them to send Bibles to people in nations with extremely limited access to a Bible. These men put their faith into action and held the first Bible Conference. Each year the Bibles that are assembled are delivered to missionaries who take them to another country. The Bibles are not printed in English but translated into the local language of the people where the missionaries serve, with this year being the Philippines.
