‘Twelfth Night’

A DISPLAY of swordplay flourishes as part of the Shakespearean play “Twelfth Night,” as seen during play practice Monday on the stage of the fabulous Farris Theatre. The Richmond High School spring performance, a comedy, is headlined by Victoria Bowman in the role of Viola, a shipwrecked woman who pretends to be her brother while taking a place in the court of Duke Orsino. The pretense provides for comedic confrontations when love blooms in the court, where Viola longs for Orsino, who in turn longs for Lady Olivia; and the long and short of the situation is, Viola must juggle her gender pretense and her feelings. Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 25 and 26; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, teacher Shari Donaldson says. J.C. VENTIMIGLIA | Staff
