The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Tractor Supply Co. (TSC) with a ribbon cutting last week. TSC announced the acquisition of Orscheln Farm and Home in October 2022. After closing the Richmond location, work began to open TSC in the same location. Chamber President Stephanie Landwehr said she hopes they join its organization. “It took us a lot more time than I thought it would,” said TSC Manager Steve Samoly. “I just want to say we appreciate you all for having us and being a part of the chamber. We’ve gone through a lot of changes and hopefully we continue to move forward and up into the community.” After the ribbon was cut in honor of the opening, Richmond City Mayor Mike Wright thanked the business and expressed his appreciation for the work it took to open. “The improvements you made here are great and it’s a very important business for Ray County,” said Wright. “We hope you become involved with us.
